Hannah turns ONE!

This session for little Hannah was all things pretty, floral and girly! More than just a cake smash, I made sure to document some very special moments with Mom and Dad, not to mention the joy of celebrating their little girl and this incredible one-year journey as parents.

We shot this session at @mintroomstudios in Toronto, ON.

Hannah was an absolute doll throughout the entire session. She definitely had no trouble getting her hands into the cake, which always makes for the sweetest (and most scrumptious) photos.

When it came to styling this shoot, I envisioned it to be bright, airy and simple with a subtle pop of colour. Being a parent myself, I have never been one for bright themes and loud characters, whether I'm decorating my kids' bedrooms or throwing them a birthday party. With that said, I prefer simplicity and letting the beautiful little girl or boy be the focus of everything.

I also incorporated a rustic high chair into this session, which paired nicely with the greenery and florals. This chair is actually a sentimental piece that my own daughter used for her birthday session.
